This small guinomi was handmade in Bizen during my stay in the region, then fired for 7 days in Taiga Mori's noborigama kiln.
Small and relatively low, the grog in the clay used at the workshop creates numerous irregularities on the surface, giving the piece its raw and tactile appearance.
The wood firing then reveals the nuances of the earth and softens some of its rough edges. Its small size makes it particularly pleasant to hold and well-suited for tasting tea or sake.

Expertise
Atelier Tadaima
Tadaima is a project dedicated to Japanese handcrafted ceramics and everyday objects.
Born from several trips to Japan, the project stems from a curiosity for ceramics, and more specifically for the chawan, whose presence in daily Japanese life gradually led me towards tea, matcha, and the world surrounding them.
