This bamboo chashaku is handcrafted by Hochikuen, a historic Takayama house specializing in tea utensils for over 500 years.
Used to measure matcha, its thin and slightly curved shape makes it easy to take the necessary amount and gently place it in the chawan.
Light and naturally warm in the hand, this chashaku accompanies the gestures of matcha preparation.
